Indications

P361CA cushion can be used when:

1. Pressure Sore (Stage I to III according to EPUAP) is present.

• The patient can change seating position, or the pressure points can be relieved through nursing care.

2. Very High Risk according to the evaluation scale (Braden, Norton, Waterlow,…) is present.

• The cushion can be used on different seating supports without adjustment.
• The choice of device must be approved by the healthcare professional.

Suitable for patients with:

• Past history of pressure sore on contact with the seating area
• Complete or incomplete paralysis of the trunk or lower limbs
• Impaired or absent sensation of the lower member
• Impaired frontal stability
• Light postural asymmetries
• Vascular Amputation
• Bad general state

Combination of HR Foam and Visco Foam

HR Foam – High-resilience Foam base

• enables the cushion to adapt better to bony protuberances, thus providing a larger contact surface,
• Therefore, a more effective distribution of pressure.
• Moreover, it improves patient comfort and stability.

Visco Foam – Moulded viscoelastic foam with memory effect

• Precise moulding of the body and an increase in the body surface in contact with the cushion
• Better pressure distribution:
  reduction of transcutaneous pressures on areas at high risk and facilitated blood circulation
• Improved comfort and stability of the patient
• With a very high density to prevent deformation and sagging effects

Because the 2 layers of the material are moulded together (≠ glued),
They are completely bonded, thus eliminating all risk of separating over time

 

An innovative concept with an Ergonomic insert

• Made of foam with high bearing capacity, it structures the cushion.
• It functions as the skeleton of the cushion in order to set the weight-bearing capacities on different areas
• It allows the optimal immersion of the bony protuberances (sacrum, ischias) in the material:
  This means a sufficient immersion of the area at risk,
  but also a controlled and stabilised immersion before reaching the bottoming limit
• Different bearing capacity in the front-rear part of the insert in order to rebalance patients in a sitting position and thus to reduce the load at the ischial zone

Multi-bearing Insert

Reduce the load on the risk zones
